A fine Nayarit 'shaft tomb' human effigy figure in the Ixtan del Rio variant. The statue depicts a rasp playing musician holding a tortoise shell in the left hand and, what appears to be an antler or a bone in the other. The pottery effigy is in excellent, original condition retaining strong original pigments showing tattooing and textile designs.
